CARE OF CERAMIC SCULPTURE
Ceramics subjected to cold weather elements, i.e snow,
freezing rain, and hail, may not survive. Even though the
clay is water tight, it will break if water freezes in, on,
or around the piece. I recommend bringing your sculpture
indoors for bad weather. Heat is not a problem, they
withstood temps in excess of 2300 degrees for several days.
UV rays will also have no effect on the clay's surface.
To clean, use a scrub brush and water for pieces with dry,
rough texture or matte finish. Cloth will leave fuzz and
sponges will shed and catch on these surfaces. Shiny surfaced
pots can be cleaned with a damp sponge. For very large
pieces, gently place in a tub of water and use scrub brush,
and rinse by pouring water over it.
